■  General Description
This pump was developed to meet the ever increasing demands for vehicle by our company. Total 4 series and 33 sizes are available, displacement range from 7 to 237 ml/r, maximum operating pressure 21 MPa and speed from 600 to 2200 rpm; intra-vane design enables the pump having high pressure, large capacity, compact size, low sound level and longer service life features; its main technical data have reached to the advanced level of the same product in the world.

This series pump adopts replaceable pumping cartridge containing all parts that wear none contact the body. Field service can be accomplished without removing the pump from its mounting, eliminating the need for factory repairing which reduces expensive downtime; with hydraulic balance, bearing loads resulting from pressure are eliminated and the only radial loads are those imposed by the drive itself. Longer life and minimum maintenance are direct results; Wear compensation is inherent in the design. Intra-vane design which enables that continuously applied outlet pressure between vane and intra-vane reduces tip loading to the extent desired on a particular pump. Outward balanced thrust of vane inlet port area is equal to outlet pressure times projected area of end of intra-vane.This thrust can be controlled without sacrificing vane thickness. To resist the cantilever loads of any practical outlet pressure, vane thickness can be increased without increasing load between vane and cam ring. The dual vane arrangement assures solid tracking of the cam ring throughout the pumping cycle. This means less leakage across vane tips which enhances volumetric efficiency, low noise and less cam ring wear. Wear resistant flexible side plates are available in the design, thus further increasing the speed and service life.

Installation meet ISO/SAE standards; with complete specifications, reliable performance, reasonable construction and convenient installation and easy maintenance, it is widely used in hydraulic systems for vehicles and other machineries.

 There were two formulas for calculating pump input power:

Now, the following formula is recommended, which is more convenient for the calculation

Where,—theoretical flow (L/min),—mechanical efficiency % (experimental value =0.9). For example, if geometric displacement of the pump is 32ml/r, speed of the motor 1500rpm, and operating pressure 140bar, the input power needed is as follows:

■  Installation and Application

1.Operating oil
①Anti-wear hydraulic oil is recommended. It's viscosity range: 10~100cSt (1.8~ 13°E),recommended viscosity 24cSt(50℃).
②Filtration: the filtration rating shouldn't be lower than 25μm, a filter with filtration rating of 70~150μm should be fitted at inlet port and its rated flow more than twice of that of the pump.
③Temperature range: ambient temperature -20~+70℃; operating temperature 10-60℃.
④Fire resistance fluid Special seal should be used when using fire resistance fluid; for rated pressure and max. speed of the pump, refer to that in the main performance data table.

2.Installation
①Foot and frame for pump must be reliable, solid and good in vibration absorbance.
②Horizontal mounting is recommended to maintain necessary case fluid level. Concentricity of shafts between pump and motor is important to pump life and should be within Ø0.1mm. Radial or axial load can't be applied on pump shaft and a flexible coupling should be used and rigid linkage not permitted.
③To reduce noise and vibration of system caused by trapped air, attachment flange at inlet port, all fittings and pipelines must be strictly sealed.
④Before starting the pump, you should check if the inlet and outlet have been correctly connected and the rotation of the pump is in the line with the arrow in the nameplate. To prevent the pump from cavitation caused by the first starting or stopping run for a longer time, air should be bled from the pump delivery line. This may be accomplished by loosening a connection in the delivery line close to the pump. An air bleed valve is available for this purpose. When starting, the pump should be repeatedly jogged without any load. After the pump may normally run, it can be actually primed.
⑤Suction lift of pump shouldn't be higher than 500mm.

3.Replacing cartridge kit
The cartridge kit design of V and VQ series vane pumps offers fast and efficient field serviceability.
When replacing the cartridge kit, seals inside the pump should be checked to avoid them crimping;
when tightening the fastening screws, they should be treated with even force in diagonal direction.
